Honeycomb Cardboard Pallet

A honeycomb cardboard pallet is a paper deck with a closed hexagonal kraft core and block or runner feet. It is handled like wood, but a typical carton pallet weighs about 3–6 kg against 15–25 kg for a wooden pallet, which cuts freight, especially by air.
Because it is paper, it is exempt from ISPM-15 and can export without heat treatment. Jingpak cites about 54% less CO₂ than wood and about 96% less than plastic. Closed cells slow moisture better than open corrugated, though untreated kraft is not waterproof. Size, thickness, and load are made to order for export and one-way storage.

Frequently Asked Questions About Honeycomb Cardboard Pallet

How is it different from a wooden pallet?

A typical carton pallet weighs about 3–6 kg, against 15–25 kg for wood. It has no nails or splinters, nests for shipment, and does not need heat treatment. It is not assumed equal to a heavy timber pallet on long-term racking unless that grade is tested.

Is it exempt from ISPM-15?

Yes. ISPM-15 applies to solid wood packaging. This pallet is paper, so it can export without fumigation or an HT stamp. The site also describes it as ISPM-15 compliant for that reason.

How much weight can it take?

The load depends on deck thickness, cell size, foot design, and whether the load is static, dynamic, or racked. Send the deck size and the load for a rated build. Do not assume a figure from the material name alone.

Is it recyclable?

Yes. It is paper-based and can go into cardboard recycling where local rules allow, if free of film, foam, or contaminated adhesive.

Does it resist moisture?

Closed cells slow moisture movement better than an open corrugated pallet. Untreated kraft is not waterproof and loses strength when wet. A moisture-resistant face can be specified for humid routes.

What sizes can you make?

Decks are custom. Common export sizes are 1200 × 800 mm and 1200 × 1000 mm. Entry can be two-way or four-way, set by the foot layout.

How is it supplied?

Nested in stacks, so the shipment is flatter than assembled wooden pallets. Nine-block and four-block styles are both used.

What information do you need for a quote?

Deck length and width, static and dynamic load, racking if any, entry sides, kraft or coated face, quantity, and destination.

HS code used for export?

The HS code used for export is 4823909000

What is the lead time after PO confirmation?

The lead time is 7 days after PO confirmation.

Sample policy?

Samples are free of charge. Freight is paid by the customer.
