It is made by forming countless hollow hexagonal paper cores from corrugating base paper through an adhesive bonding process, and then laminating liner paper onto both sides. This biomimetic structure allows honeycomb paperboard to achieve maximum strength with minimal material, offering an outstanding strength-to-weight ratio. Compared to traditional corrugated paperboard, honeycomb paperboard can save 30-50% in base paper consumption during production. Under humid conditions, honeycomb paperboard boxes maintain more stable compression strength, resulting in lower overall costs.
