Foil-lined Corrugated Box

A kraft or white corrugated carton with aluminum foil laminated to the inner face. The board gives stacking strength; the foil acts as a radiant barrier and a moisture-facing liner for short-haul cold chain, frozen food and damp packs.

No. EPS is bulk insulation. Foil-lined board is a carton plus a reflective liner. It ships flatter, prints better and is easier to handle as paper packaging. Hold time depends on ice packs, box size and ambient temperature — do not treat it as a drop-in 48–72 hour EPS replacement unless you have pack-out test data.

It reflects radiant heat and slows moisture wicking into the paper. Combined with the air in the flutes, it reduces heat gain versus a plain kraft box. It is not a vacuum panel and it is not waterproof at the scores unless the liner is continuous and the joints are sealed.

Food mailers and retail frozen packs: E, B or C flute single-wall, often with a white print face.

The paper fraction is recyclable where foil-laminated board is accepted. Many mills reject heavy foil or mixed foil-film. Tell the customer to check local paper-stream rules; do not claim “curbside recyclable everywhere.”
