Heavy duty corrugated bins on a pallet, built to forklift, stack, and ship as one unit.
Cardboard Pallet Boxes for Bulk Shipping
A cardboard pallet box is a bulk bin built to travel on a pallet as one unit. It is also sold as a carton pallet box, a pallet shipping box, or a shipping pallet box. A loose cardboard box on a pallet still has to be packed and strapped; this unit is sized for forklift handling from the start. The walls are heavy duty corrugated, not solid board. Everyday loads use double-wall board. A tri wall pallet box adds a third wall for denser or export freight, commonly in a higher ECT range so stacked bins resist crush. The base can be wood, plastic, or a corrugated pallet. A corrugated pallet cuts weight and stays fully recyclable; wood is the usual pick when repeated fork entry matters more.

Frequently Asked Questions About Cardboard Pallet Boxes
What sizes are standard?
Common footprints:
1200 × 800 mm (EUR / EPAL)
1200 × 1000 mm (industrial)
1219 × 1016 mm / 48 × 40 in (GMA)
800 × 600 mm (half-EUR)
Heights are often 600, 800, or 1000 mm. Custom sizes are normal from about 600 × 400 mm up to 1600 × 1200 mm.
How much does an empty unit weigh?
Roughly 5–17 kg depending on size and board, often 50–75% lighter than a comparable wooden crate and pallet. That cut in tare weight can reduce freight cost.
Is it recyclable?
Yes, if it stays paper-based. Recycle with corrugated after you remove PE bags, excess tape, and plastic strapping. Recycled fibre content is often 70–100%, with virgin kraft used where extra strength or print is needed. FSC or PEFC chain of custody is available from many plants.
Can I get internal dividers?
Yes. Slotted kraft partitions turn the box into a cell pack for pipes, brackets, bottles, or machined parts. Specify cell count, part drawing, and whether you need a lid.
Is it food-safe?
As secondary packaging, yes when liners and adhesives are specified food-grade. It is not a substitute for primary food contact packaging. Keep the unit clean and dry.
How long does it last?
It is usually a single-trip or limited-reuse pack. Dry closed-loop plants sometimes reuse sleeves and pallets a few times if they stay undamaged and dry. A wet or crushed pallet must come out of load-bearing service.
Why choose paper instead of plastic or wood?
- No heat treatment or fumigation
- Lower tare weight
- Recyclable in the paper stream
- No nails or splinters
- Collapsible designs save empty cube
- Custom print and die-cut cells are straightforward
Wood still wins for long outdoor reuse and very high rack loads. Plastic still wins for wash-down and wet processes.
Can they be printed?
Yes. Handling marks, arrows, logos and barcodes are common. Full-colour print is available on request.
How many sets fit in a 40HQ container?
A 40HQ container typically holds 500 to 1,000 sets, depending on the box size.
HS code used for export?
The HS code used for export is 4819100000.
What should I specify when ordering?
Inner L × W × H, packed weight, single/double/triple wall, style (RSC, HSC, telescope), print, pallet size, destination climate, stack height and volume.
What is the lead time after PO confirmation?
The lead time is 7 days after PO confirmation.
Sample policy?
Samples are free of charge. Freight is paid by the customer.
